Danesholme Infant Academy

Nursery

Whilst there is no curriculum for children in Nursery, they can still learn through play.

Mrs Martin, Mrs Carnie and Mrs Brown are all available in Teams every day and cannot wait to see you in there, to have some fun!Hairy Maclary

In spring term 2021 we are looking at the seasons, especially winter and our first book which we shall still do online is Brown, brown bear.  We will be looking at colours and animal names followed by rhyming with Hairy Maclary.

Practice at home activity

Apple Tree were going to work on self care skills of putting on coats and doing up the buttons or zips!

Please feel free to share photos of your child practising this fun activity, Mrs Martin and Mrs Carnie would love to see how you are getting on.

Learning to talk

Children quite often learn to talk at a very young age (and don't worry if yours doesn't, everyone is different, and it's not a competition!).  Talk Together: Closing the word gap in the early years by Lorelli Mojica from 2018 offers great advice for monitoring and developing young children’s initial communication and language skills.  Download this interesting article from the list below.
